The Kerala Islamic Association British Columbia (KIABC) is an association that serves the Kerala Muslim community in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, Canada.

Our Mission

Establish an Organization that is vibrant and follows Islamic teachings, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent services, opportunities for community involvement, and a space for ideas to grow.

Our History

KIABC was established by members of the Kerala Muslim community in the Pacific Northwest of British Columbia. The association's primary aim is to cater to the religious, cultural, and social requirements of the Kerala Muslim community in the region.

Our Values

KIABC upholds Islamic principles: unity, justice, compassion, and service. We emphasize education, and community service. We also prioritize preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Kerala Muslim community in British Columbia.

KIABC provide support and resources for new immigrants and their families to help them adjust to life in Canada, such as job search assistance, and mentorship programs.

Mentorship

Mentorship is a powerful collaboration where experienced individuals guide and inspire others to reach their full potential, fostering growth and success.

Qurbani Service

KIABC assists Qurbani service on Eid al-Adha, the Islamic festival of sacrifice. This practice involves sacrificing an animal, typically a sheep, cow, or camel, to provide meat for the needy and as an act of worship.

Community Service

KIABC hosts fundraising events for disaster relief and local charities. They also conduct educational programs to promote awareness and understanding of Islam.

Funeral Service

KIABC assists with funeral services, including washing, Janazah Salat, and burial or cremation arrangements. They also offer support to the deceased's family throughout the process.
